Was planning on jogging outside, but woke up to ice and snow on the ground so a nice jog on the treadmill it is. Slowed down my pace to 4.0 and 4.3 for 2 miles and 4.5 for the last few meters. My body feels much better slowly increasing speed instead of just jumping to too fast too soon. I am impatient about progress, but in the end slower is better. Jumped on the elliptical after and killed my butt for about 20 minutes. Scale hates me again today.
Tuesday workout done! 5k was actually done in about 45ish minutes with cool down walk at the end. Pushing myself to add more reps to my weight sessions. The jog this morning was pretty rough and im thinking im not ready for 5.0 on the treadmill yet. Tomorrow will be my outdoor jog and im going to try to go a little farther with a couple of periods of faster running at the end. Scale is bouncing around so ill just ignore the reading I got this morning. Need to buy new shorts for this summer since the others can fit over my workout pants and have room to spare.
I hit 80 pounds lost today since July ‘13 . Excited , but still can’t wait to hit my goal of 150. A couple of NSV for me this week are fitting into an xl in target workout gear, my husband being able to fit his whole arm around me when cuddling in bed, and jogging outside a little better each time. Onto 90 pounds next. Can’t wait to be a size 16!
Saturday morning grind! At least my pace was at 15 minutes instead of last times 16:45! Ran farther today but still not at 5k outside. I have 6 weeks until the run for women so im hoping to get to a 14 minute pace and be able to jog most of it. Took a picture of myself for proof that I left the house this morning! Went to a new planet fitness on the way home and hit up the elliptical with intervals. Nervous that the people watching the race will boo at me and I will embarrass myself by being the slowest person.
Early morning run. Jogged farther and my pace was a minute faster. Still not at 5k outside but getting more used to the pavement.
Already hit up the gym 4a.m. ! Scale stayed the same so I am ok with that. Payday today but after paying taxes and registration I will be basically broke. Cant wait for tomorrow morning to go for my very second outdoor jog tomorrow. Hoping it will be better than the last.
Did a two mile run using intervals switching between 4.0 and 4.3. Made it to 2 miles in about 22 minutes. Pretty happy with it. Hit up the elliptical for 10 minutes than weights for my weak arms. Weighed in at 228.6 so a full pound finally. I think I have figured out the monthly pattern of my weight loss! My next run outside will be Saturday so I can get more comfortable with the pavement.repping with my tardis tee for my jog of course
A little discouraged that my 1 mile pace was 16:47 outside and on the treadmill im much faster. I’ll keep at it , but still feeling down about that and the scale. Came home and did an extra 2 mile walk dvd. Hoping I dont completely embarrass myself by signing up for these 5ks.
Did my walk at home dvds today since my morning timeline was seriously messed up by work . At least tomorrow I will be attempting to jog outside again and this time will be using the Nike run app to see how slow im really going and the distance. At least on the treadmill end its going pretty consistent. Hoping to put doggy in half day daycare so I can get some rest and maybe even attend a class or do a second workout.
My comfortable jogging pace is finally at 4.0, 4.3 is a little push and I sprinted at 4.8 a couple of times without pain. Making my way to 5.0!!! Once I hit that speed I will work on distance. My jogs outside this week will be moved to Wednesday and Saturday. 5k time is at about 45 which is about 2 minutes down from my very first time. The size 18’s actually fit! They are snug but they button! Maybe in another two weeks I will be wearing them out. Scale is full of hate today so sad face :(
